Description
Mycenae (Mycenae, Mycenae) was an ancient city of Argolida near the mountain Tritos and opposite the Argolic Gulf. The archaeological site of Mycenae is located about 90 kilometers southwest of Athens,
in the northeast Peloponnese.It was one of the largest centers of Greek civilization, constituting a powerful military fortress that dominated most of southern reece. The period of Greek history between 1600 BC to about 1100 BC is called Mycenaean”, referring to Mycenae.
